As a tribute to the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service, Airstream teamed with Pendleton Woolen Mills® to develop The Pendleton® limited edition trailer, “built to celebrate the wild lands of the great outdoors and those who preserve and protect them.”
Airstream, Inc. will donate $1,000 to the National Park Foundation for each Pendleton sold—their way of “continuing to honor our nation’s most sacred lands,” states the Airstream website.
Only 100 Pendleton units will be built—and the Lazydays RV dealership in Tucson will receive two of the special trailers from the factory.
Each 28-foot, rear door Pendleton has a wide sport hatch with a rollaway screen, and comes with a list of perks and features as long as the Buffalo National River—including a special awning (with “bright bands of sunset against rich prairie green, the iconic landscape of the Badlands”) and an accessory kit of goodies from the Pendleton National Park Collection.
The interior trim package features Pendleton woolens, Harbor plank flooring, and rustic wood cabinetry. “It’s fantastic,” said George Crow, a Lazydays sales manager. “The cover over the bed and pillows, the engraved motif on the cabinet doors, the Ultraleather seats, and all the Pendleton accessories make it pioneer-looking and warm. There are maps on the wall. It reminds me of a log cabin.”
The Pendleton is stocked with blankets, shams, bed and toss pillows, towels, a dining set, and even a pet bed, among other National Park-themed collectibles. Each one will be individually numbered, and have a National Park Service Centennial commemorative badge on the panoramic tinted front window. If that’s not enough, there’s one more perk: each new owner receives a one-year National Parks and Federal Recreation Land Pass.
Like it? Love it? Gotta have it? Contact Lazydays at 800-306-4069 and ask for an Airstream representative who will handle your deposit. “Out of all the dealerships in the country, we’re blessed to get two of them,” said Crow. One Pendleton is scheduled to arrive at the Lazydays dealership next month; the other will be available to tow home from Arizona in April.
