Next month, during Alumapalooza, Airstream Inc. will present the inaugural Airstream Fine Art Invitational, a group exhibit featuring many of the top landscape artists in the country.
The artists—whose works have won numerous national awards and have been featured in prominent galleries and art publications—include Scott Lloyd Anderson, Tom Brown, Arturo Chavez, Len Chmiel, Brent Cotton, Gil Dellinger, Kathleen Dunphy, Sy Ellens, Peter Fiore, Stephen Fox, Tim Horn, Neal Hughes, Elizabeth Jose, Dan Knepper, Don Lake, Christopher Leeper, Antonio Masi, Joseph McGurl, Jim McVicker, Tom Perkinson, Michael Scott, Morten Solberg, James Toogood, Brian Vegter, Steven Walker, and Romona Youngquist.
“Because so many of our customers are artists, it’s important for us to show support for the arts,” said Bob Wheeler, President of Airstream, Inc. “For all artisans, any Airstream gathering invariably is a chance to demonstrate and inspire creative energy. This art show is just one example.”
“The works celebrate the world around us,” states the press release from Airstream, Inc. “From the wild mountains and prairies of Montana to the rocky North Atlantic coast, the rugged Sierra Nevada, and everywhere in-between. These artists are inspired by constantly changing color, light, and atmosphere. They seek to reflect the inspiring beauty that can be found in nature, a shared sentiment of Airstream owners and enthusiasts.”
Jennifer Complo McNutt, Curator at the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art in Indianapolis, will jury the exhibit. She regularly serves the national and regional art communities as a contributor, selector, presenter and advocate for contemporary art and artists.
The Airstream Fine Art Invitational will run in conjunction with Alumapalooza at the factory in Jackson Center, Ohio, May 31 through June 4, 2016. The art exhibit will take place in the lobby of the customer service building located at 419 W. Pike St. and will be open to Alumapalooza attendees and the public 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
